| The specific purpose of the Libraries for Peace Project
is to establish private libraries in Lebanon and other Middle Eastern Countries.
Our libraries will be open to the general public to use for research, study
and vocational training. Our libraries will be fully equipped with books,
computers, and other essential items and run by staff and volunteers. We
will offer classes in computer training, English language, culinary arts,
etc. for young people between the ages of 12 to 18 years old. |

| The barriers which separate the people of the West and
the people of the Middle East must come down. Only through education and
awareness, not force or occupation, can there be better understanding between
these two cultures. We believe strongly that only through education can
peace be achieved. |
